Disclaimer: This tier list serves as a general guideline and is not set in stone. Ultimately, it all comes down to how well you can master each character.

S Tier - Best Characters in Overwatch Season 3

While new heroes usually get the spotlight, that might not be the case in Season 3. Currently, the strongest characters remain those from Season 1: Emre, Zarya, Ana, Lucio, and Tracer.

Zarya still stands as the top-tier tank in the meta. She has a simple kit, but it is incredibly effective. She can absorb damage, deal heavy damage, and support her team, making her everything you could want from a frontline tank.

The best DPS is still Emre from last season. He remains dominant thanks to his straightforward yet deadly kit. The same goes for Tracer, who has been one of the most consistent DPS heroes and fully deserves her place at the top.

As for the supports, Lucio and Ana have the highest win rates, proving that they can still be exactly what a team needs despite their relatively simple kits.

A Tier - Really Good and Dependable Characters

Characters in this tier are still very strong and are never a bad choice to pick. They have powerful kits that provide great value to their teams, such as Domina, Reinhardt, Kiriko, and Illari. They rarely fail to deliver unless they are facing heavy counters.

Unfortunately, Shion, the new character, cannot quite reach S Tier. She is strong, but her kit is fairly complex and requires more effort to have a significant impact compared to heroes like Emre. The same applies to Sierra. While she has a unique and niche kit, it is not as impactful or consistent as Emre's.

Although these heroes are not quite on the same level as the S Tier picks, having them on the team will often increase the chances of securing a victory.

B Tier - There Are Better Options

The characters in B Tier are not as strong as they once were due to various nerfs and balance changes. Take Vendetta, for example. She was one of the most dominant characters in Season 1, but she is no longer as threatening after receiving survivability adjustments.

The other characters in this tier can also feel underwhelming when compared to those ranked higher. While they are far from bad, they simply do not perform as consistently or effectively as the top-tier picks.

That said, with the right teammates and team composition, many of these heroes can still perform at a level comparable to higher-tier characters.

C Tier - Underperformed

These characters in the bottom tier have suffered from various gameplay changes and nerfs, and they just don't perform as they used to. Other characters are simply better picks than them right now.

That concludes our Overwatch Season 3 tier list. Remember, these rankings are based on high-level performance statistics and each character's overall kit. If you have mastered a character in a lower tier, they can definitely perform like a higher-tier pick depending on your gameplay.
