Gakuran Best Fighting Styles

Boxing
Here's the thing about Boxing. It doesn't have massive damage number. But the reason it keeps sitting at the top is simple: It barely gives opponents anything to work with. When you thrown your Heavy Attack, normal hits won't be able to stop it. Your opponent has to make a decision fast, which is to dodge it or time a parry perfectly. And most players can't do either consistently under pressure.
What makes it even stronger is the Perfect Block bonus. Every time you read an attack and block it perfectly, your Heavy Attack comes back faster. Hard to ask for more than that.
Hakari
This fighting style works completely differently from Boxing, but the end result is just as dangerous. The whole point of this style is that clean, uninterrupted combos pay off in a big way. Land your M1s without getting hit, and your next Heavy Attack with Hakari hits drastically harder than normal.
Capoeira
This is the newest style in Gakuran and people are already frustrated with it, which tells you a lot. The main reason is that Capoeira's dash recharges 25% faster than every other style. It also deals extra guard break damage on regular attacks, chips through blocks, and knocks opponents down on Heavy Attacks. Plus, it looks super cool.

Muay Thai
Muay Thai is for people who want to win through volume. This style just keeps chipping away until something breaks, since its attacks deal extra posture damage that makes blocking feel increasingly dangerous the longer a fight goes on. The Heavy Attack adds to this by sending opponents into a ragdoll state, which stops them from recovering and regrouping.

Slugger
Slugger boosts your damage, but you also take more damage. It can dominate if you play perfectly, but one mistake can cost you the fight. The reward isn't worth the risk in serious matches.
Karate
Karate is solid and reliable, with better posture and stronger defense. The problem is it lacks a game-changing advantage, making it consistent but rarely the best choice.
Wrestling
Despite its 9% drop rate and Legendary rarity, Wrestling is held back by its command grab. It hits hard, but experienced players can dodge or parry it and punish the long recovery, making the style too inconsistent against skilled opponents.

Basic
Basic is where everyone starts and that's fine. It keeps combat manageable while you learn how parrying, dashing, and combos actually work. Once you understand the fundamentals though, there's no real reason to stick with it.
