It’s important to ‘bonk’ enemies using the best weapons available in Megabonk. Alongside characters, items and weapons play an equally crucial role in helping you survive longer in this chaotic game. That's why I've put together this complete weapon tier list to show you exactly which weapons are worth your time and which ones you should skip.
Megabonk Weapon Tier List

Here's a quick look at how all the weapons in Megabonk stack up against each other. I've ranked them from S-tier (the absolute best) down to C-tier (the ones you should avoid).

A | Bananarang, Bow, Corrupted Sword, Dexecutioner, Firestaff, Katana, Lightning Staff, Revolver |
B | Axe, Blood Magic, Bone, Dragon's Breath, Flamewalker, Frostwalker, Hero Sword, Shotgun, Slutty Rocket, Tornado, Wireless Dagger |
C | Black Hole, Chunkers, Mines, Poison Flask, Space Noodle, Sword |
S-Tier Weapons – Best Weapons in Megabonk
These are the current best weapons in Megabonk. Having the equipped can really boost your chance of survival.
Aura
This is one of the most beginner-friendly weapons in Megabonk. Aura covers all 360 degrees around your character, so you don't even need to aim. It knocks back regular enemies, elites, and even bosses. With 8 damage and 1.2 attack speed, it scales really well with most Tomes and Items. If you're new to the game, start with this one.
Sniper Rifle
If you like playing aggressively, the Sniper Rifle is your weapon. It has the highest base damage in the game at 22 per shot. The bullets pierce through enemies and knock them back, letting you focus fire on elites and bosses. The only downside is that you need to get used to the aiming, but once you are familiar, you'll melt everything.
Dice
Here's where things get interesting. Dice is the best weapon for crit-focused builds because it starts with 15% base crit chance. Every time you roll a 6, you permanently increase your crit chance. It deals 10 damage with 1.0 attack speed, and it's amazing for boss fights. Just remember it's RNG-based, so some runs will feel better than others. Use it with characters that have crit buffs.
Aegis
If you prefer playing defensively, Aegis is your best friend. It has an 80% block chance, which means you'll avoid most incoming damage. When it blocks attacks, it releases shockwaves that deal 15 damage and knock enemies back. Boss hits can still break through occasionally, but overall, this is the strongest defensive weapon in the game right now.
A-Tier Weapons – Strong Alternatives
Bananarang
The Bananarang might sound silly, but it's incredibly powerful. It shoots 3 piercing projectiles that deal 12 damage each. As you level it up, you get more projectiles and increased size, which basically creates a shield around you that shreds through enemy swarms. It works great with Lifesteal builds too. Pick this if your character has projectile buffs.
Revolver
The Revolver is one of the best ranged weapons you can get. It starts with good projectile quantity, and as you level it up, the bullets gain bounce power. It also has decent base crit chance for scaling. If you can't get your hands on an S-tier weapon, this is your next best option.
Bow
The Bow offers nice base damage that scales quickly as you progress. It creates a spread of arrows when you increase projectile count, and each arrow pierces through enemies for multi-kills. The downside is it only shoots forward, so you'll need to aim and position yourself carefully.
Katana
Don't sleep on the Katana. It has excellent damage and crit scaling, making it great against elites and bosses. It works really well in crit and Lifesteal builds, and surprisingly, it's also good at clearing hordes. If you're running a melee build, definitely consider this one.
Firestaff
The Firestaff shoots fireballs that deal both single-hit and area-of-effect damage. It fits well in any long-range build and lets you kill enemies from a safe distance. The main weakness is the low number of projectiles, which means it struggles against large swarms.
Lightning Staff
This is a solid area-of-effect weapon that hits multiple enemies at once. It works best in movement-focused builds. Just don't pick it if you're going for a crit build because it doesn't scale well with crit stats.
Corrupted Sword
Unlike other sword weapons, the Corrupted Sword doesn't require aiming, which is nice. It has high base attack speed that helps early on. The unique mechanic is that your damage increases as your HP decreases, which can be risky but rewarding.
B-Tier and C-Tier Weapons – The Bottom Half
Now we're getting into the weapons you should generally avoid unless you have a very specific reason to use them. The B-tier weapons aren't terrible, but they need heavy investment or specific builds to be useful. The C-tier weapons are just flat-out bad and rarely worth your time.
In B-tier, you'll find weapons like Flamewalker and Tornado that only work in certain situations. Flamewalker is okay for passive XP farming if you're constantly moving, and Tornado can create a defensive barrier with enough upgrades. But honestly, you're better off investing in A-tier weapons instead. The melee weapons in B-tier like Axe, Bone, and Hero Sword all suffer from the same problem – they're painfully slow. Even with attack speed upgrades, they just can't keep up.
Then we hit C-tier, and things get rough. The basic Sword sounds like a solid starter weapon, but it's slow, only attacks in one direction, and gets overwhelmed by swarms. Black Hole has the lowest base damage in the game and never gets better no matter how much you upgrade it. Chunkers and Mines need such specific synergies that they're never worth the effort. You'd have to build your entire run around making Chunkers work, and even then it's still mediocre.
The bottom line is this – stick with S and A-tier weapons for your first three slots. If you really need a fourth weapon and nothing good is available, maybe grab something from B-tier that fits your build. But never waste resources on C-tier weapons when you could be upgrading weapons that actually matter.
Don't waste time unlocking C-tier weapons unless you're a completionist. Focus on getting the S and A-tier weapons first, then fill out your arsenal with B-tier options that complement your playstyle. With the right weapon setup, you'll be bonking enemies with authority in Megabonk.
