S Tier - Best Characters in Megabonk

These are the powerhouses. If you want to dominate, pick one of these.
Dicehead
Dicehead is absolutely broken right now. His Dice weapon keeps stacking crit chance forever, which means the longer you play, the stronger you get. He's sitting at the top of every leaderboard for a reason. The only downside? Your early game can be rough if you get unlucky with your rolls. But once you get going, nothing can stop you.
Robinette
Robinette might surprise you. Her Bow deals solid piercing damage, but the real magic is in her Stonks passive. The more gold you save, the more damage you deal. It's a snowball effect that gets out of control fast. She's perfect if you like planning ahead and being strategic with your spending.
CL4NK
CL4NK is another monster. His Revolver combined with his passive ability gives you crazy damage later in the game. Every level adds more crit chance, and when you pair that with the right items, you'll shred through everything. Just be careful early on - he's slow and fragile until you get some upgrades.
Megachad
Megachad rounds out the S tier with his Aura ability. When you stack size and cooldown upgrades, you basically become a walking nuke. His Flex passive also gives you clutch invulnerability when you need it most. The only problem is he's slow, so dodging can be tough until you build up your defenses.
A Tier - Great Options

These characters aren't quite as overpowered, but they're still really good.
Sir Oofie
Sir Oofie is the tank king. His armor scaling makes him incredibly forgiving, which is why he's perfect for beginners. You can take hits while learning the game. The downside? His damage falls off late game unless you build for area-of-effect attacks.
Tony McZoom
Tony McZoom has great starting speed and no fall damage. His weapon rivals Calcium's mobility builds, making him super fun to play. He's got some unique movement tricks that take a bit of practice, but once you get the hang of it, he's fantastic.
Amog
Amog shines with poison builds. Get Moldy Cheese or Overpowered Lamp and watch bosses melt. His poison flask with Blackhole absolutely destroys tough enemies. The only annoying part is his short throwing range makes early waves dangerous.
Calcium
Calcium is all about speed. His Speed Demon passive gives you insane damage when you don't get hit. Pair him with Turbo Skates and you're flying around the map dealing tons of damage. Just remember - one hit resets your speed bonus, so you need to be careful.
Bush and Birdo
Bush and Birdo are also solid A-tier picks. Bush's Bullseye passive causes explosions that wipe out groups, but you need good aim. Birdo has awesome mobility with double jump and glide, plus her Tornado weapon hits hard with the right build.
B & C Tier - The Struggling Characters

These characters have serious problems that make them hard to recommend. Most of them share common issues like weak early games, poor scaling, or needing very specific builds to even function.
B Tier characters like Monke, Ogre, Ninja, and Noelle just can't keep up with damage output. Monke has fun mobility, but his damage falls behind. Ogre is painfully slow and struggles to farm XP early. Ninja's evasion gets completely ignored by some boss attacks, making him useless in key fights. Noelle just feels weak all around.
C Tier is even worse. Athena, Vlad, Bandit, Fox, Spaceman, and Sir Chadwell are honestly not worth your time. Most have brutal early games, weak weapons, or are just too specialized. Spaceman is probably the worst - his Blackhole fires once every 7 seconds with terrible damage, plus his passive is literally bugged right now. Sir Chadwell is disappointing because he's hard to unlock but performs terribly. These characters need perfect item drops just to survive, while top-tier characters dominate with basic builds.
The bottom line? These lower-tier characters might work if you get lucky with items, but why struggle when S and A-tier options are available?
The meta will probably change when the next balance update drops on October 5, 2025. But for now, stick with S and A-tier characters if you want to push high scores. That said, don't be afraid to try lower-tier characters if their playstyle sounds fun - you can still beat all the content with skill and the right items.
