S-Tier: Best Characters in Fellowship
Meiko
Meiko is hands down one of the strongest and fun-to-play characters in the game right now. She's supposed to be a tank, but she deals crazy damage while keeping everyone alive. Once you get her combo system down, you'll be topping damage meters while laughing off enemy attacks. Her self-buffs and cooldown management make her incredibly strong in high-level dungeons.
Mara
Mara was a powerhouse DPS in Playtest, and still is in the current state of the game. She's all about building combo points and landing massive finisher attacks. Plus, she deals backstab critical damage that eats enemies alive.
Fair warning though, she's tough to master. You need to learn when to attack and when to hold back. But if you put in the time, she's one of the strongest characters you can play.
Tariq
Even after receiving a slight nerf, Tariq remains one of the best characters to use in Fellowship. As a DPS, he’s more well-rounded compared to Mara, offering a balanced mix of survivability and offense. However, his overall damage output falls slightly short of Mara’s. Despite that, he’s still considered a top-tier pick in the current meta.
A-Tier: Overall Good
Helena
Helena is what you think of when someone says "tank." She's got this Toughness mechanic that makes her nearly impossible to kill. If you just want to stand there and take hits, she's your girl. The only reason she's not S Tier is that Meiko does everything Helena does, plus way more damage. In high-level dungeons, that extra damage really matters.
Ardeos
Ardeos is probably the most visually fun character to play. Everything he does burns enemies over time, and then you get to watch those burn effects stack up before exploding everything with Detonate. His mechanics revolve around building up Embers and turning them into Burning Embers. When you trigger Detonate, all that damage over time becomes instant damage. It's satisfying and effective.
Vigour
Vigour has climbed up the tier list thanks to the healing value buff from the latest update, making him slightly better than Sylvie as a healer. His damage output and burst healing are now more consistent and impactful, making him a crucial support character to have in any party setup.
Elarion
Elarion represents the classic MMORPG-style bow DPS, offering decent damage and excellent mobility, though his survivability is somewhat lacking. Fans of ranged heroes will enjoy his fluid combat mechanics, such as charging while dashing and rapid-fire attacks. However, his overall damage output is still lower than Mara and Tariq, causing him to fall slightly in the tier rankings.
B-Tier: Currently Struggling
Rime
Rime used to be one of the top picks, but she's fallen behind a bit. She uses Winter Orbs to deal massive burst damage, and her builder/spender system is pretty easy to figure out. She's still great for newer players because you can do well without perfect play. But compared to the top-tier characters, she just doesn't bring enough to the table in higher-level content.
Sylvie
After the Early Access launch, Sylvie received a noticeable nerf, which significantly affected her standing. Once considered S-tier during the playtest, her reduced damage and weaker initial healing now make it difficult for her to provide strong value to the team. With her overall healing and damage output being lower than Vigour’s, she currently finds herself at the bottom of the tier list.
Which Character Should You Pick?
If you're new to Fellowship, start with Meiko or Helena. Meiko gives you incredible survivability with great damage, while Helena lets you focus on pure tanking without complex mechanics.
For experienced players looking for a challenge, Mara offers the highest skill ceiling and some of the best damage in the game.
Remember, the best character is the one you enjoy playing and take time to master. This tier list shows what's working in the current meta, but every character can succeed with enough practice.
