S Tier Characters

Mika

Mika functions as the best AP battery in the game, generating far more action points than any other character. Her Tide mechanic grants bonus AP at specific thresholds, letting your team take more actions per turn. The Save buff carries unused AP to the next turn, preventing waste. She also heals exceptionally well, keeping teams alive through tough fights while enabling aggressive strategies through resource generation.

Mei Lin

Mei Lin dominates single-target scenarios through her break-focused playstyle and self-buffing abilities. She applies Passion Weakness to enemies, guaranteeing she always deals bonus damage regardless of enemy type. Her low-cost cards and built-in card draw make her extremely efficient. She excels at burst damage windows where you need to delete priority targets quickly before they become problematic.

Tressa

Tressa applies Agony, a damage-over-time effect that bypasses defenses through fixed damage. She generates endless 0-cost Shadow Daggers that stack Agony quickly. High hit counts scale well with certain buffs. The downside is damage takes time to tick down, and extremely high action counts speed up enemy turns. She needs understanding of when backloaded damage works versus immediate burst.

Cassius

Cassius offers great utility through card search and draw, with his Quest mechanic providing powerful rewards when completed. He provides universal card searching at 0 AP cost with fantastic card draw and cycling abilities. His incredible defensive Ego Skill and ability to find specific cards when needed make him valuable despite the RNG element.

A Tier Characters

Renoa

Renoa specializes in Dirge Bullet management, generating special cards that deal damage when discarded or at turn end. Her gameplay revolves around creating the right number of Dirge Bullets, then using payoff cards that scale with how many you have. She offers explosive burst windows when properly set up. Players who enjoy combo-heavy playstyles will appreciate her mechanics.

Beryl

Beryl uses Retain mechanics to hold expensive cards until you're ready to unleash them with bonus effects. Each turn cards stay in hand, they grow stronger. This creates setup turns followed by explosive damage windows. She sits in A tier because waiting multiple turns for cards to power up slows your tempo, and high base costs make early game rough without proper support.

Rin

Rin demands maintaining Dark Cloud Stance for her cards to function at full power. Inside this stance, she deals massive single-target damage with strong self-buffs. She's in A tier because stance maintenance requires careful play and limits team flexibility.

Luke

Luke relies heavily on critical hit chance to function properly, as his Rapid Fire ability only generates Bullet cards on crits. Once you stack enough crit rate, he becomes a bullet-generating machine that floods the board with 0-cost attacks. His damage scaling improves dramatically with proper stats. He works best alongside other bullet-focused characters or supports who boost crit chance, creating synergistic teams.

Kayron

Kayron has incredible damage potential in both single-target and AoE situations through his Void mechanic. High AP costs can be bypassed with smart play and proper team building. He needs investment to reach full potential but rewards players who build around his mechanics.

B Tier Characters

B tier characters are viable options that work well in the right circumstances but struggle with consistency compared to higher tiers. These characters typically suffer from one or more weaknesses that prevent them from competing at the highest level.

Common issues include extreme AP costs without reliable ways to reduce them, dependence on RNG mechanics that make performance unpredictable, or requiring specific teammates to function properly. Many B tier characters try to fill multiple roles at once but end up being mediocre at everything rather than excellent at one thing. Others have incredibly strong mechanics that only work with investments or specific upgrade paths, making their base kits feel incomplete.

A few provide excellent utility but lack the raw power or flexibility to carry games. While these characters can absolutely work in skilled hands or with the right team composition, they demand significantly more effort, understanding, and support than S or A tier options to achieve similar results.
