Best Characters in Archero 2
Thor
Thor has broken the chapter stage meta completely. His weapon fights on its own while you move freely around the map. You get full attacking power without standing still, which removes the main risk of combat. Lightning attacks at level three can stun enemies, and level four creates even more projectiles. No other character offers this level of safety combined with damage output.
Demon King Atreus
Atreus brings strong defense through his energy shield and dark orbs. The shield starts at 50% of max HP and buffs your damage while active. When health gets low, you can absorb one orb to heal back up. The orbs also create zones that slow down enemy shots. This combination of shields, healing, and damage buffs works well in every game mode.
A Tier Characters
Seraph
Seraph has a 50% chance to encounter Valkyrie at game start. Level two provides chances for additional skills during angel encounters. Level three prevents max HP reduction from devil pacts. His damage reduction buff and skill-focused design make him excellent for chapter stages.
Rolla
Rolla uses Frost Finger to deal ice damage and freeze enemies. Level two reduces frozen enemy attack for 5 seconds after thawing. Level three strengthens ice attacks further. Level four summons frost meteors when attacking frozen enemies. Her critical damage buff and reliable crowd control through freezing make her valuable for handling enemy waves.
Otta
Otta's Brutality ability increases crit chance based on enemy HP at level one. Level two grants 40% crit rate and 60% crit damage for 5 seconds after taking damage. Level three lets crits instantly kill minions below 30% HP. Level four adds 15% crit rate at farther ranges.
B Tier Characters
Nyanja
Nyanja provides 10% movement speed increase and swift wind that pushes back enemies. Level two increases swift wind range and doubles damage. Level three adds explosions on contact. The movement speed buff helps in maps where enemies rush at you.
Dracoola
Dracoola offers life steal that absorbs enemy HP during attacks. Level two converts excess healing into damage on the next attack. Level three increases movement speed by 20% above 50% HP. Level four provides 40% attack power at full HP. His gear stat increase buff sounds useful, but healing becomes less valuable in later chapters where enemies one-shot you regardless. The attack boost helps but doesn't carry weight compared to top tier options.
Hela
Hela provides Hidden Blessing that increases her and nearby allies' attack by 5%. Level two restores 1% HP over time to her and allies. Level three adds 5% crit rate. Level four grants 20% crit damage. While her buffs help, she excels more in co-op modes rather than solo progression.
C Tier Characters
Alex
Alex is the default starting character. His max HP buff supports early chapter progression, but his effectiveness drops off compared to specialized characters as you advance.
Helix
His attack power buff supports aggressive play, but the danger of staying at low HP makes him better suited for PvP than chapter content, where avoiding damage matters more.
Loki
Loki works primarily for competitive modes and doesn't offer the same chapter progression value as other characters.
Character choice significantly impacts progression in Archero 2. Thor and Atreus stand above the rest with really strong abilities. Seraph. Lower tier characters remain playable but don't match the power and utility of top performers. Focus on obtaining and upgrading S and A tier characters!
