Marvel Tokon Beta Tier List – Character Rankings

The Marvel Tokon closed beta wrapped up recently, giving players a chance to test six characters from the roster. Based on testing and competitive play analysis, this tier list ranks the playable Marvel Tokon characters according to their performance and effectiveness.

Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls Beta Tier List

Best Characters in Marvel Tokon

Star-Lord

Star-Lord works well against nearly every character in the current roster. His guns can switch between different elements for different situations. His attacks can freeze enemies for combo setups, and his grenade holds them in place for more attacks. Since he is a flying character, he has additional attacking angles.

Dr. Doom

Dr. Doom felt optimal in nearly every situation; however, Miss Marvel felt like his decent counter. His dash works like a teleport and helps him avoid projectiles. The shield blocks energy attacks, making fights against ranged characters easier. Doom is not the easiest character to play, and it takes time to learn his combos, but once you are able to learn his pattern and combos, you will feel you are doing significantly better. The only problem with Doom is that he feels a lot slower compared to other characters, but his other tools help make up for it.

A Tier Character

Captain America

Captain America has balanced stats across the board. At the start, you might feel is not a great character; however, once you learn his shield mechanics, you will feel a real difference. The shield can stop anti-air attacks, making it safer to jump. His damage stays steady, movement feels good, and he has options for both close and medium range. Learning shield tricks takes time, but they make Captain America work better. If you are planning to master Captain America in Marvel Tokon, the only advice I can give you is that have some patience with his mechanics. They are hard to learn but it's definitely worth investing your time in this character.

B Tier Characters

Iron Man

Iron Man is a decent character in the current Tokon meta. We didn't get to experience him much, but he had decent damage, and since he is a flying character, he has additional attacking angles as well. The major problem I felt while playing Iron Man was that you can jump over his projectiles, and you might find yourself struggling against a mobile character. He's solid, but he does lack the overall threat of characters such as Iron Man or Captain!

Storm

Storm moves quickly, and her tornado creates pressure when set up right. Ice crystals stay out long enough to cover space and limit enemy movement. The powered-up version lasts even longer. Her combos work smoothly after medium attacks - air launcher into assist calls gets good damage without hard inputs. Storm does well but doesn't reach top-tier performance.

C Tier Character

Miss Marvel

Miss Marvel's biggest strength is her grab attacks. However, in actual matches, most characters move faster and control fights better. She does well against Dr. Doom but struggles in other fights.

The Marvel Tokon beta showed clear differences between character strength levels. Star-Lord and Dr. Doom performed best with strong damage. The full release will likely bring balance changes based on beta results, especially for characters at the top and bottom of rankings.
